'You're a f*&$ing pig': Indian CEO abused by Trump supporter
An Indian-origin CEO was racially abused after he wrote against US President Donald Trump's economic agenda. Ravin Gandhi, GMM Nonstick Coatings CEO, wrote on CNBC he had changed his stance on Trump's agenda after Charlottesville incident. Several abuse messages then hit him online. He posted a voicemail on which a woman says: "Get your f*%&ing garbage and go back to India, and sell it there."
What did he write?
In the article titled 'I tried to give Trump a chance. But after Charlottesville, it's over', Gandhi wrote, "I recently told the NYT I was 'rooting' for certain aspects of Trump's economic agenda." "After Charlottesville and its aftermath, I will not defend Trump even if the Dow hits 50,000, unemployment goes to 1%, and GDP grows by 7%."
Abuser also called Nikki Haley a "Bangladesh creep"
In her rant against Gandhi, the woman says, "You're a f*%$ing Indian pig." She also abused Indian-American US Ambassador Nikki Haley a "Bangladesh creep", and threatened they will take down Buddhist statues. As of 4pm on August 23, the post has close to 10,000 views. A commenter points out that India isn't a Buddhist country. "Why racists are so ignorant?"
Gandhi isn't the first to be offended by Trump's comments
Trump's comments on the Charlottesville violence offended many. Several officials in his administration quit, including the main council consisting of top CEOs. Trump soon announced his decision to end the council altogether to avoid putting pressure on his executives.
