Indian Army sends back Pakistani-kid with new clothes and sweets
The Indian Army, in a display of humanity, sent back a young Pakistani child who had inadvertently crossed the border into the Indian side. The 11-year-old was sent back with new clothes and a box of sweets. Mohammad Abdullah was picked up by the forces in Degwar area of Poonch, J&K, on June 24. He had to stay four days for completion of formalities.

After locating Mohammad, the army had handed him over to J&K Police the same day, who carried out the necessary formalities for his return. A spokesperson said he had been sent back on humanitarian grounds due to his young age, and in an attempt to boost India-Pakistan confidence. "The Indian Army...maintains sensitivity while dealing with innocent civilians," they added.
Last week, BSF sent back two Pakistani men
Last week, the BSF had handed over to the Punjab Rangers two Pakistani nationals, 22-year-old Ahmed and 31-year-old Sohail Qamar, who accidentally crossed the border in Samba district. The decision was taken on humanitarian grounds, officials of both sides said after a meeting in Sucheetgarh Sector.
