Imran Khan undergoes medical check-up in Adiala jail
What's the story
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, was given a health check-up at Adiala Jail.
The check-up was conducted by a four-member team of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) led by Dr. Altaf Hussain, an ENT specialist.
The team also comprised Dr. Umar Farooq, Dr. Muhammad Ali Arif and Dr. Tashfeen Imtiaz.
The entire process took about 30 minutes.
Health worries
Health concerns prompt medical check-up for Khan
The medical examination was ordered after Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) raised concerns about his health.
PTI's information secretary Sheikh Waqqas Akram alleged that the former prime minister was being kept in solitary confinement.
Another PTI leader alleged that Khan was not allowed visits from either his family or his personal physician.
Report awaited
Khan's health report and transfer speculations
The doctors' report on Khan's health condition has not been made public yet. This has further fueled speculation about a possible relocation of the former prime minister.
Last month, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur had said that Khan would "soon be shifted elsewhere."
However, no official confirmation regarding these claims has been received so far.
