Trump's naked statue auctioned for a whopping $28,000
The last naked statue of President Donald Trump was sold for $28,000 (Rs. 18.66 L) to a paranormal investigator, who plans to place it Zak Bagans' The Haunted Museum in Las Vegas. In August 2016, the statues appeared in public spaces in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Seattle and Cleveland, mocking Trump's then impossible bid for White House. Most of them were destroyed, but the last one was auctioned.
Las Vegas artist makes statutes to show Trump's 'monstrosity'
Artist Ginger was approached by West Coast anarchist collective INDECLINE after Trump's divisive campaign. He spent 25 hours per week on statues, from April to August. "It was absolutely in my wheelhouse to be able to create these monstrosities," he said.
The statues that garnered global attention
The four ugly statues- called 'The Emperor Has No Balls' had a distended belly and jowly sneer. All of them were either destroyed or confiscated, and the last one was rescued by La Luz de Jesus Gallery. The paranormal investigator Zak Bagans, who bought it, plans to put the statue at his museum in Las Vegas.
