Why Trump's X account is responding to everyone
As the United States prepares for a high-stakes presidential election on November 5, Republican candidate Donald Trump has turned to social media platform X to engage with voters. The former president is using automated, personalized responses to connect with users who interact with his posts. This strategy comes amid an intense campaign season where both Trump and his Democratic opponent, Kamala Harris, are vying for support in key battleground states, including North Carolina.

In one such post, he urged North Carolinians to prepare for early voting or to show up on Election Day. "LIKE this post to get IMPORTANT election reminders in North Carolina. Whether you vote early or in-person on Election Day — have a plan and make sure you VOTE!" the post read. Those who liked the post got a personal message from Trump's official account saying, "THANK YOU for liking my post," with the user's handle tagged.
Indian man gets message from Trump
An Indian man who liked Trump's post also got the automated message from the Trump campaign. "I'll send you IMPORTANT ELECTION UPDATES for North Carolina. Make sure you are ready to VOTE FOR DONALD J. TRUMP by November 5th," Trump replied. The user responded back that he was not a fan of the real estate tycoon and that Trump will never be his president. "Kamala Harris will never be my President either. Actually I am from India," the user wrote.
