Video recorded at night, shows Cairo's skyline, naked couple's image

In a three-minute video recorded at night, it shows a man and woman scaling what appears to be the Great Pyramid of Giza. Parts of the video also show the skyline of Cairo (Egypt's capital) in background. When they reach the top, the video shows the woman taking off her shirt and it ends with a still image showing them in a naked embrace.

Controversy

Couple's act sparks controversy, slammed for violating public morality

The couple's daring attempt has stirred controversy among Egyptians. For starters, climbing pyramids is punishable by law in Egypt. On top of that, by posting a naked picture and video of the act, the couple has violated the public morality in the country. Minister of Antiquities Khaled al-Anani referred the case to the prosecutor general for investigation and authorities are now probing the couple.

Information

Earlier too, couple has posted nude pics from high-vantage points

The video was uploaded to YouTube on Wednesday by self-proclaimed nude artist and Danish photographer Andreas Hvid. Earlier also, he has posted many images on his social media accounts like Instagram, where he and his partner are atop a high vantage point, often naked.

Fake video?

Meanwhile, official claims video is fake as pyramid has heavy-security

However, Ashraf Mohi, Director General of the Giza Plateau, claimed that the video is fake as there's heavy security at the pyramids from 5 pm, when the area closes. He also said the area around the pyramids is too brightly lit in the video, but the area is actually quite dark during night time. The video has now been deleted from Andreas' YouTube account.
