#SkinConsciousDriver: Chinese cabbie wears skincare mask on job, gets suspended
Maintaining a healthy skin is tough, especially if you have a stressful job. It's important to give some quality time to your precious skin. After all, you're not going to be young forever. With this motto, a self-conscious cab driver in China drove around wearing a skincare mask during his night shift. Though he did get glowing skin, he also received a three-day suspension.
Man wanted to freshen up, tried a relaxing skincare mask
Last week, 25-year-old Chen Yiquan in Linhai, probably feeling stressed, thought of freshening up during a late-night shift on Friday. Don't we all do that, sometimes? He decided to drive in the city to refuel and had put on a skincare mask to keep his skin hydrated. However, an amused woman snapped a picture of him and shared it online.
Social media went berserk, netizens posted appreciative comments
As expected, the picture of a Chinese cab driver wearing a skincare mask received a lot of giggling by the netizens. The picture got over 40 million views on Weibo. A netizen wrote, "What an exquisite taxi driver." Another one, impressed by Chen's multitasking, wrote, "Girls everywhere take note, you've to take care of your skin no matter how busy you are." You must!
But, somebody wasn't amused with Chen's attempt to de-stress
It was only a matter of time before the local traffic police saw Chen's picture, and they were not happy. The police felt that wearing a sheet mask on the job could be dangerous as it could fall off and obscure the driver's vision. Chen was therefore suspended for three days by his employer. Nevertheless, Chen finally got the quality time for his skin.
