World's cutest dog, Boo, dies from 'heartbreak' at age 12

Social media star 'Boo', the fluffy adorable Pomeranian from San Francisco, US, who was also dubbed the 'world's cutest dog' died on Friday morning at the age of 12. His owner revealed that he died of heart problems. Known for his short haircut, Boo was the subject of four photo books.
Boo showed signs of health problems after best friend's death
Boo's owner, Irene Ahn, announced the sad news on Facebook on Friday. She mentioned that the little Pomeranian passed away in his sleep and left them to join his best friend 'Buddy', another Pomeranian. In fact, after Buddy died in 2017, Boo had been showing signs of heart problems, and Ahn suspects his heart literally broke after the death of his best paw companion.
'We find comfort in knowing Boo is not in pain'
"Our family is heartbroken, but we find comfort knowing that he (Boo) is no longer in any pain," the Facebook post read. Ahn said that they know Buddy would be the first to greet his friend "on the other side of the rainbow bridge." She revealed that the cute canine was so easy-going that they never had to bother with training.

Fans were heartbroken, recollected memories of Boo and Buddy
As soon as fans learned about the celebrity dog's demise, condolences and mournful comments began pouring in. Many netizens expressed sorrow and recollected how Boo and Buddy would always leave a smile on their faces with their supercute antics. One netizen wrote, "I just burst into tears, I'm so sorry to hear this. Boo and Buddy gave me so many smiles over the years!"
Boo was made Virgin America's official pet ambassador
After being adopted in 2006, Boo gained massive popularity on social-media, courtesy his Facebook page, which has over 1 crore likes. Soon, Boo was on the covers of coffee table books, got his own calendar, and even a range of stuffed animals made in his likeness. He also managed to make a deal with Virgin America in 2012, as the airline's Official Pet Liaison.
Boo also has two books written about him
After becoming the ambassador of Virgin America, a travel book- Boo: Little Dog in the Big City on him was released. Prior to that year, another book on him was released- Boo: The Life of the World's Cutest Dog. The endearing dog also appeared on many TV shows such as Good Morning America in the US and met celebrities like Seth Rogen.
