
Baloch insurgents attack Pakistani paramilitary convoy, claim 90 killed
What's the story
Seven Frontier Corps (FC) personnel of the Pakistan paramilitary were killed and at least 12 injured in a shocking incident on Sunday, when a convoy was targeted by an explosion near Noshki in Balochistan.
Initial investigations indicate that it was a suicide attack where an explosive-laden vehicle rammed into the FC convoy
On the other hand, The Baloch Liberation Army claimed that a total of 90 Pakistani paramilitary personnel were killed in the attack.
Casualties
Injured personnel being treated; death toll may rise
The injured have been shifted to the FC Camp and Noshki Teaching Hospital, where an emergency has been imposed.
Officials are worried that casualties and injuries might increase, as several of the victims are critical.
Meanwhile, Balochistan CM Sarfraz Bugti condemned the attack and expressed sorrow over the loss of lives.

Chief Minister Bugti vows to bring attackers to justice
In an official press release, CM Bugti said, "Those who play with the peace of Balochistan will be brought to a tragic end."
He further said such cowardly attacks can't shake their resolve.
The CM assured that terrorists have no place in Balochistan and that peace would be ensured at all costs.
He promised all possible steps would be taken to bring to justice those undermining peace.

Balochistan government condemns attack, stands with affected families
The Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind called the targeting of innocent civilians a brutal act.
He prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured and condolences to the families of the deceased.
Rind's office's statement further added "enemy elements are trying to destabilize the country," but assured that "the people's morale cannot be lowered through terrorism."
The attack comes days after a high-strung faceoff between the Baloch Liberation Army and Pakistani forces involving the hijacking of a train.
