All the details about Ivanka Trump's impending Hyderabad visit
American President Donald Trump's daughter and adviser to the White House, Ivanka Trump, will be visiting Hyderabad from November 28-30 to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES). Hyderabad is going all out to give Ivanka an impenetrable security cover on her first India visit. Here we give you a low-down on everything you need to know about the First Daughter's impending Hyderabad visit.
No beggars in Hyderabad for two months
A five-tier security ring made of top American and Indian security personnel will protect Ivanka. Additionally, the Hyderabad police has banned begging in the city from November 8 to January 7, 2018, and shifted about 1,000 alms-seekers to jail-ashrams. It has also advised nearly 3,500 residents in the Falaknuma area to not entertain strangers, relatives or friends until Ivanka's safe departure.
Ivanka's husband Jared Kushner to accompany her
Ivanka's husband Jared Kushner will be accompanying her during her India visit. Her security arrangements would reportedly match to that provided to a US President. However, her visit is subject to cancellation if American officials perceive any threat to her security (the chances of which, according to them, are very high) or a leak in the details of her itinerary.
Ivanka to speak at GES, dine with PM Narendra Modi
On November 28, Ivanka will address the GES inaugural session at Hyderabad International Convention Centre from 4-6pm. She will follow it up with a dinner hosted by PM Narendra Modi at palace hotel Taj Falaknuma. At GES the next day, she will speak on "Women First, Prosperity for All". She is also likely to attend an AR Rahman concert and do some local sightseeing.
What is the Global Entrepreneurship Summit?
Co-hosted by India and the US, the eighth edition of GES is being organized by NITI Aayog, the External Affairs Ministry and Andhra Pradesh government. Started by former American President Barack Obama in Washington in 2010, it aims to bring together budding entrepreneurs and global business leaders. PM Modi had invited Ivanka to lead the American delegation during his US visit earlier in June.
