Air alert across Ukraine as authorities warn of incoming missiles
What's the story
Air raid warnings were sounded across much of Ukraine early Tuesday as local authorities warned citizens of incoming missiles fired by Russia.
"The air alert continues. Stay in shelters until the danger passes," the Kyiv region's military administration advised.
In the Obukhiv district of the capital region, a 44-year-old woman was injured in an attack. The attack also left a private house and outbuildings in the area partially destroyed.
Attack aftermath
Civilian casualties and property damage reported
Additional damage to residential properties was also reported in the Fastiv district.
On the same day, Russia's Ministry of Defence alleged it had intercepted and destroyed 19 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles overnight.
This escalation comes a day after the third anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which has left tens of thousands of military casualties on both sides.

On Monday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed a full-fledged prisoner exchange with Russia as a first step toward restoring peace.
Calling the proposal a "fair option," he said that "ending the war must begin with steps that restore trust in the situation itself. Because there is no trust in Russia itself."
He said thousands of people are being held in Russia. And some of them have been there not only since 2022 but also since 2014.
