Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has extended an invitation to recently retired Shikhar Dhawan, to play the Legends League Cricket. This invitation was part of a heartfelt message shared by Yuvraj on social media, in response to Dhawan's retirement announcement on August 24. The two players had previously been teammates at Sunrisers Hyderabad during the 2016 and 2017 IPL seasons.

In his social media post, Yuvraj praised Dhawan for his exceptional career and lively presence in the dressing room. He highlighted Dhawan's fearless performances in ICC tournaments and across all formats, which earned him the nickname "Gabbar." Yuvraj also noted that these achievements are rare feats that Dhawan should be proud of.

Dhawan's cricketing journey and future prospects
Dhawan began his professional cricket career in the 2004 U19 World Cup, and made his debut for Delhi later that year. His ODI debut for Team India came six years later, with his last appearance in 2022. Despite retiring from international cricket, Dhawan has hinted at continuing in league cricket, particularly the IPL. It remains to be seen if he will accept Yuvraj's invitation to join the Legends League.
