Ranji Trophy: Yash Dhull scores century on debut

India's 2022 U-19 World Cup winning captain Yash Dhull has smashed a century on debut in the Ranji Trophy.
Dhull, who opened the innings for Delhi, hammered 113 runs from 150 balls versus Tamil Nadu in an Elite Group H encounter at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
Delhi are 288/7 after having batted for 87 overs.

Under Dhull, India won their fifth ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup title by beating England in the final.
Dhull became the fifth Indian skipper to lift the title after Mohammad Kaif (2000), Virat Kohli (2008), Unmukt Chand (2012), and Prithvi Shaw (2018).
The 19-year-old is set to have his first taste of red-ball cricket in the Ranji Trophy, besides playing in the IPL.

Recently, Dhull earned an Indian Premier League (IPL) ticket in the 2022 mega auction. Dhull was purchased by the Delhi Capitals for Rs. 50 lakh in the mega auction on Sunday. Prior to that, he was named in Delhi's squad for the Ranji Trophy.
