WWE: Preview and predictions for Super ShowDown 2019
The second season of WWE's Saudi Arabia series starts with the Super ShowDown pay-per-view, to be held at the King Abdullah International Stadium in Jeddah on Friday. With a number of top matches, scheduled to be held between legends and top active superstars, the show has the ingredients to be a hit, once again. Here is the preview and match predictions for this event.
Will Lucha House Party survive the carnage of Lars Sullivan?
Lars Sullivan has been on a rampage ever since he made his main roster debut. He has already taken down three men. Following his attack on the Lucha House Party, he is scheduled in a handicap match against them. But judging by his size, will the Luchas be able to overcome The Freak? Prediction: Sullivan wins.
Will Bobby Lashley 'Get These Hands'?
Just like Sullivan, Braun Stowman too is a man who likes to destroy his opponents. However, he has been targeting the bad guys since he has turned face. Bobby Lashley, on the other hand, has been acting like a coward ever since his heel turn and Strowman wants to teach him a lesson by giving him his hands. Prediction: Strowman wins.
History book reckons for the 50-man Battle Royal winner
Saudi Arabia's WWE shows have been creating history since last year. While it was the Greatest Royal Rumble (50 men) last year, this year it would see the Greatest Battle Royal, comprising of the same number of men. While Strowman won the GRR last year, chances are that another top superstar could be crowned the winner for a future push. Prediction: The Miz wins.
Will Roman Reigns be known as the new best?
Shane McMahon has been conniving following his heel turn. Further, he has been over-hyping himself as the Best in the World. While he was feuding with Miz a month back, he is now targeting Roman Reigns, after the latter punched his father Vince. Chances are Miz could get involved to assist Reigns, as the former has some unfinished business with Shane. Prediction: Reigns wins.
Who will reign supreme in the battle of ex-Evolution team-mates?
It is a rivalry that dates back to 2004, when Triple H turned his back on his then Evolution team-mate Randy Orton. Ever since, this has led to a bitter rivalry between the two. Although Hunter has won eight of the 13 matches between them, it would be interesting to see if Orton manages to pull one back. Prediction: Triple H wins.
Will Andrade survive The Demon of Finn Balor?
Andrade is one of the upcoming superstars of WWE, and he wishes to prove himself by beating fellow top star Finn Balor, and claiming his Intercontinental Championship. However, with Balor promising to bring his demon, it would be interesting to see what Andrade has under his sleeve to overcome him. Also, Zelina Vega's involvement could be a turning point. Prediction: Balor retains.
Will it really be Dolph Zigger instead of Kofi Kingston?
Dolph Ziggler made a comeback and went after Champion Kofi Kingston, claiming that the latter stole the spotlight, while it should have been him. To make things worse, Ziggler went after his New Day team-mates as well, making it even interesting. While Kingston is determined to teach Ziggler a lesson, Money in the Bank cash-in by Brock Lesnar could also lurk. Prediction: Kingston retains.
Can Seth Rollins possibly overcome a double challenge?
Universal Champion Seth Rollins has a task at hand against the number one contender Baron Corbin. While Corbin is one of the most hated WWE superstars, Rollins is expected to easily beat him. However, things could get interesting if Lesnar decides to show up and cash in his MITB contract, having promised to do so last Monday on Raw. Prediction: Rollins retains both ways.
Is The Undertaker next, or shall Goldberg Rest in Peace?
Both men need no introduction as they are undoubtedly the legends of this company. And, it would be epic when these two legends clash for the first time. With both men nearing the end of their career, it would certainly be interesting to see who has the last laugh, as this promises to the fight of the event. Prediction: Goldberg wins.
