WWE: Analyzing possible opponents for Roman Reigns at SummerSlam
Roman Reigns is one of the top superstars in WWE today and the promotion does its best to give him one of the best bookings, since he draws most of the ratings. With WWE's next big pay-per-view SummerSlam coming up next month, it has already started sowing the seeds for his possible opponent. On the same note, we analyze who can be his opponents.
Walk with Elias
Now, we all know that Reigns is currently feuding with Shane McMahon, while Elias is one of his allies. While Elias might not be at the same level as Reigns, he is still a top draw. Furthermore, if he gets involved in the tag-team match against Shane and Drew McIntyre at Extreme Rules pay-per-view, a feud at SummerSlam between the two is imminent.
Shut Drew McIntyre up for good
Although this might not be the best of the feuds, it would still be interesting to see who has the last laugh. Having already lost to Reigns twice, Drew McIntyre seems to be not done yet. Chances are high he might challenge Reigns for one last time, while a big prize like number one contender spot for WWE Championship could be on the line.
To decide who's the Best in the World
Reigns went head-on with Shane at the Super ShowDown last month, only to lose, courtesy of interference by McIntyre. Arguably, Reigns is not contained with the loss and would want to finish against Shane on a high. Thus, one last match at SummerSlam would help to end the feud, while a win for Reigns could make him the new Best in the World.
A betrayal as The Deadman eyes revenge
Now, this could be one of the best. Everyone remembers Reigns beating Undertaker at WrestleMania 33, breaking the heart of a million fans. While Undertaker did not confront Reigns post that, he has instead allied himself with him, as he would tag along with him at Extreme Rules. However, chances are Undertaker could double-cross Reigns, which could eventually set up another feud at SummerSlam.
An unexpected challenge outta nowhere
While this might seem random, it certainly is every time it happens. Randy Orton has the tendency to sneak into a feud, appearing all of a sudden and delivering an RKO out of nowhere to start a feud. Chances are Orton could crash Reigns party after Extreme Rules and challenge the Big Dog at SummerSlam, with a future championship match on the line.
