WWE: Ranking the monstrous, but athletic superstars to date
The WWE superstars are professional athletes who are highly trained to perform and execute their moves in the ring. While most of the athletes possess fine body, over-sized superstars too feature in the promotion to deliver a different kind of entertainment. On the same note, we take a look at the monstrous, but athletic performers in WWE to date.
The Beast from the East was unexpectedly acrobatic
Bam Bam Bigelow was one star who was exceptionally athletic, considering his figure and size. Weighing around 400 pounds, he was a human wrecking machine. However, what made him even more mesmerizing was his ability to pull off flying headbutts, along with crumbling moonsaults. It was his athleticism that allowed him to try his hands in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), where he was unsuccessful.
The Monster Among Men is untouchable in athleticism
Braun Strowman was monstrous when he made his WWE debut, but was not athletic enough during that time. Over the years, he has made a sound transformation, as his in-ring abilities have vastly improved, along with developing fast moves. He is so acrobatic right now, that none of the oversized superstars come near his abilities. He is simply untouchable.
The Prizefighter can indeed challenge any athletic superstar
Kevin Owens might not have the perfect physique when compared to regular WWE superstars. However, his sheer athleticism is out of the world. From running cannonball moonsault to top rope splash and high-flying kicks, there is nothing that Owens cannot do. The fact that he has won Universal Championship proves his abilities, as fans certainly love his athleticism more than his gimmick.
The Freak is freakishly athletic
Lars Sullivan might not be as oversized as other giant wrestlers in WWE, but his huge size certainly is scary. What baffles the fans, even more, is his freakish athletic ability, as he can lift his opponents with a hand. He also has shown his move to lift two superstars at a time, followed by classic top-rope maneuvers. This makes him a monstrous athlete.
The World's Largest Athlete can never be counted out
Should have been first on the list, but there is a definite reason we saved him for the last. During his debut days, Show used to be more or less like Sullivan himself, large in size, along with high-flying athletic abilities. However, he gradually put on weight, which slowed him down and could not keep up with the same athleticism of modern era.
