5 WWE dream matches that never happened
Each generation produces an iconic superstar who is loved and adored by all. Fans often desire superstars, from different generations, to lock horns and help them establish the GOAT. We all have imagined a match between Ali and Tyson, Rod Laver and Roger Federer, or Carlsen against Fischer. Here we present to you 5 WWE dream matches that never happened.
When the two greatest tag teams collide
The Dudley Boyz and the Legion of Doom are the most decorated tag teams in the history of WWE. These two teams have a lot in common. The Dudleys even named their finisher, the Dudley Device, on the move by the Legion, the Doomsday Device. It would have been a dream come true, for fans, if these two had met in a WrestleMania face-off.
How about Cenation going up against Hulkamania?
John Cena and Hulk Hogan are like Laver and Federer. These two have numerous similarities, with both being immensely loved and adored by the fans. It would have been an absolute treat to see 'Hustle, loyalty, and respect' of Cena going up against Hogan's sermon of 'training, saying your prayers and eating your vitamins'. A dream match we would have loved to watch.
How about Mr. WrestleMania vs The Great One?
Shawn Michaels and The Rock are two of the most popular WWE superstars ever, and both are great in-ring performers. These two have headlined WrestleMania on numerous occasions. However, Shawn's injury had put him out of action during The Rock's prime, and that's why this clash never happened. Both superstars being great on the mic, the promos would have been the best ever.
The Rattlesnake taking it up with the Hulkster
Stone Cold and Hulk Hogan have hardcore fans who just love and adore their favorite superstar. To see these two men, who gave WWE all its popularity, would have been a moment to be preserved in history. Hogan gives good advice, Austin is a beer-drinking, hell-raising maniac. While both are fan favorites, their opposite personalities would have created a lot of drama.
Deadman vs Stinger: The ultimate dream match
Throughout 1990s, The Undertaker and Sting were the two powerhouses of their respective companies, WWE and WCW. After WWE bought out WCW, Sting shocked the world when he didn't join McMahon. After he came to the WWE in 2014, everyone expected Sting to get a shot at the undefeated streak of The Undertaker. But it never materialized and the match remains a dream.
