WWE: Ranking the famous superstar chants used even to date
WWE is the global leader in pro-wrestling, and it is their superstars who make the company scale new heights with their in-ring as well as microphonic performances. Over the years, some superstars have become so good with the microphone that while delivering promos, there were a few chants which became instantly famous and are used even to date. Thus, we rank the same.
5. Kurt Angle does not seem to take offence anymore
There was a time when Kurt Angle was feuding with Edge as the latter started the chant of 'You suck' towards Kurt Angle. Surprisingly, it became increasingly famous as the crowd started chanting it every time Angle's music hit. Moreover, Angle snapping at the chant initially made it look even better. Nonetheless, Angle enjoyed it in the latter part of his career, even today.
4. Stone Cold's asking something
Stone Cold Steve Austin is one of the most vocal superstars in WWE, with a sound microphone skill. One of the important elements of his promo was he prompted back at other superstars by saying 'What?' when they argued with him on something. The chant became immensely famous and is used by the crowd even today to shoot heel superstars with boring microphonic promos.
3. Daniel Bryan's movement revolutionizes WWE
Daniel Bryan became a sensation in the WWE Universe owing to his weird gimmick. The thing that caught the crowd's attention is that he used to chant 'YES, YES, YES' when he was happy. The crowd immensely loved this catch-phrase and even after seven years, they continue to chant it when they like or approve something. Interestingly, Bryan does not use it anymore.
2. There is only one word to describe 'Extreme'
ECW reached its pinnacle during the 2000s after it was taken over by Paul Heyman. The brutality it portrayed in pro-wrestling was completely different and they were the king of extreme. While WWE no longer displays brutality, due to the PG era, superstars, who were once a part of ECW, including Paul Heyman, are implied to as 'ECW' by the fans, even today.
1. The most natural chant
The greatest world champion deserves to make it to the top. Ric Flair was a sensation in the ring, having won 16 World Championships. However, there was his one natural catchphrase as he chanted 'woooo' to cheer the crowd. Despite having retired, crowds still continue to chant it on his appearance, while his daughter Charlotte Flair too has kept the trend alive.
