WWE: Ranking the best types of matches
WWE is one of the best forms of sports entertainment. This is why, WWE is at times more of a brutal fight between individuals rather than wrestling itself. The promotion has invented a number of match types or stipulation based matches, where superstars perform wrestling with a special element in the match. And here, we rank the best match types of stipulations.
A combination of three deadly elements: Tables, Ladders and Chairs
Three of the most common weapons in WWE are chairs, tables and ladders. As these weapons are known to inflict maximum damage, WWE decided to combine these three and make things even deadly. In Tables, Ladders and Chairs (TLC) format, the weapons are readily available. The match can be won by pinfall or submission. However, during title matches, it becomes a typical ladder match.
A ladder match with an opportunity of a lifetime
A simple ladder match involves mostly the use of the ladder and only happens in case of championships. However, the best ladder match in WWE's history is considered to be the Money in the Bank. With an opportunity of a lifetime hanging above, a guaranteed world title match, eight superstars battle it out to grab hold of the contract by any means.
A cage with hell inside of it
Cage matches are considered brutal in WWE. However, the normal cage matches are nowhere compared to the Hell in a Cell format. The specialty of this cell is that it covers quite a space outside the ring, allowing superstars to get weapons from underneath the ring. With unforgiving steel, followed by brutal weapon attacks, the match has seen careers being destroyed and is savage.
A cage with chambers
The specialty of the Elimination chamber is that it is made up of steel chains. Also, it has four chambers/pods inside, with four superstars locked in, while two begin the match. After every three minutes, a pod is opened and the superstar gets added to the match. Moreover, with the pods being protected by fiberglass, this too can be used as a cruel weapon.
Everyone is ready and loves to rumble
The Royal Rumble is a form of Battle Royal. The rules involve eliminating a superstar over the rope, with both feet touching the ground. However, unlike the Battle Royal, where all the superstars start fighting at once, in Royal Rumble, 30 superstars are scheduled to enter every 90 seconds. The event is also special as the winner receives a world title shot at WrestleMania.
