Chasing MI's total, DC openers Shafali Verma and Meg Lanning stitched a formidable partnership, adding 85 runs in just 9.5 overs.
Verma scored a quickfire 43 off 28 balls before being dismissed while Lanning remained unbeaten on 60 off 49 balls, marking her second half-century of the season.
Despite early boundaries from MI's Yastika Bhatia and Hayley Matthews, DC bowlers soon tightened their grip on the game.

Jonassen and Mani dismantle MI's batting order
Shikha Pandey sent Bhatia back for 11 in the sixth over, leaving her with 38 runs in five innings this season.
Matthews was caught by Verma at mid-off after miscuing Annabel Sutherland's delivery.
Harmanpreet Kaur tried to up MI's ante but was trapped lbw by Jonassen for 22.
Jonassen also bowled G Kamalini to end with 3 for 25, while Mani sent S Sajana and Amelia Kerr back in quick succession.
Jonassen now owns 29 WPL scalps at 20.27.
Final chase
DC seal victory with Lanning and Rodrigues's partnership
Facing an attacking field set by MI, Lanning capitalized on the strategy, hitting two fours off Shabnim Ismail in the first over.
By the end of the powerplay, DC had reached 57 without loss, reducing their required run rate to just under five per over.
After Verma's dismissal, Lanning and Jemimah Rodrigues quickly chased down the remaining runs in just 28 balls, sealing a convincing victory for DC over MI.

Lanning's 60* from 49 balls had nine fours (SR: 122.45). She has now reclaimed her number one spot in terms of runs in the WPL. She owns 845 runs from 24 matches at 40.23. She hit her 8th WPL fifty. Lanning surpassed RCB Women's Ellyse Perry (835 runs).
