Jasprit Bumrah, one of the biggest stars of Indian men's cricket, had a heartwarming moment with Jemimah Rodrigues recently.
The former is currently playing for Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025.
The two met during a practice session, as seen in a video shared by the Capitals's social media handle.

Bumrah's absence from Champions Trophy due to injury
Bumrah, also 31, missed the Champions Trophy in Dubai due to a back injury. The injury was sustained during the Border Gavaskar Trophy on Australian soil.
Although he was named in the provisional squad for this tournament, his final spot was filled by Harshit Rana due to his failure to recover completely.

Bumrah's interaction with Rodrigues during recovery period
During his recovery period, Bumrah seized the opportunity to meet with Rodrigues.
In the video shared by the Capitals, Rodrigues is seen listening to Bumrah attentively.
The 24-year-old cricketer has had a tough run in the WPL 2025 so far, scoring just 97 runs from five matches at an average of 19.40 and a strike-rate of 121.53.

Rodrigues's performance in WPL 2025
Rodrigues's performance in the WPL 2025 has been underwhelming, with three of her five matches ending in single-digit scores.
On February 17, she scored 34 runs off 22 balls against Royal Challengers Bengaluru but DC lost by eight wickets at Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara.
Five days later, she scored 56 runs off 35 against UP Warriorz, however, the Capitals lost by a huge 33 runs at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
