What's the story

Defending champions England have defeated Bangladesh by 137 runs to get their first win in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup. While several batters enjoyed a gala time at the office, Reece Topley made the ball talk and claimed four wickets. He became the first England bowler to claim a WC four-fer against the Tigers. Here we look at his stats.

Spell

A fiery spell from Topley

Chasing 365, the Tigers were reduced to 3/26. He dismissed Tanzid Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto off successive deliveries in his first over. Shakib Al Hasan was his other victim in the powerplay overs. The left-arm pacer then got the better of Mushfiqur Rahim (51) to complete his four-fer. Standing in his maiden WC match, he claimed 4/43 in 10 overs.
