Reece Topley records England's best WC figures versus Bangladesh
Defending champions England have defeated Bangladesh by 137 runs to get their first win in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup. While several batters enjoyed a gala time at the office, Reece Topley made the ball talk and claimed four wickets. He became the first England bowler to claim a WC four-fer against the Tigers. A fiery spell from Topley
Chasing 365, the Tigers were reduced to 3/26. He dismissed Tanzid Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto off successive deliveries in his first over. Shakib Al Hasan was his other victim in the powerplay overs. The left-arm pacer then got the better of Mushfiqur Rahim (51) to complete his four-fer. Standing in his maiden WC match, he claimed 4/43 in 10 overs.

As a result, England posted 364/9. In reply, Topley reduced them to 26/3. Though Litton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim scored valiant fifties, the Tigers were eventually folded for 227.
