Pakistan beat England: Here are the records broken
What's the story
Hosts England endured their first loss of the ICC World Cup 2019, as they were defeated by Pakistan in match number six at Trent Bridge.
Batting first, Pakistan posted a total of 348/8.
England were on course to chase the total, following the centuries by Joe Root and Jos Buttler but late strikes by Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz sealed the deal for Pakistan.
Four catches
First English to claim four catches in an ODI
Chris Woakes was brilliant on the field today, as he claimed four catches in today's match.
His brilliance helped England take the wickets of Babar Azam, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik and Riaz.
With this, he became the first English player to claim four catches in an ODI.
It was also the fourth instance in a World Cup, when a player had achieved this feat.
No centurion
Pakistan script highest World Cup total without a centurion
Cricket is a team game, be it batting, bowling or fielding.
When it comes to posting big totals, it generally happens when at least one batsmen scores a century.
However, Pakistan scripted history tonight when they posted the highest World Cup total without anyone being a centurion.
The last World Cup saw two such instances, by South Africa (341/6) and Pakistan (339/6).

Match report
How did the match pan out?
Winning the toss, England skipper Eoin Morgan invited Pakistan to bat first, as the latter posted a total of 348/8, riding on Mohammad Hafeez's brilliant knock of 84.
In reply, Joe Root (107) and Jos Buttler (103) hit this World Cup's first two tons but brilliant death bowling by Pakistan helped them clinch two crucial points.
This win by Pakistan exposes England's vulnerability.
