France vs Argentina: How to pick the winning Fantasy XI?
Two of the pre-tournament favourites Argentina and France will lock horns tonight in the round of 16. Argentina have recovered from a poor start while France have looked sluggish so far. It's going to be the end of the road for one of these two, so everything will be at stake tonight. Here is the guide to picking your Fantasy XI.
4-3-3 formation will be best suited for this fixture
We have opted to go for a 4-3-3 formation to get the most out of the players available. Both sides have some world class forwards and three at the front will be the best option. France have two of the best mid-fielders in the world right now and expect them to do all the work tonight. A four-man defense will complete this line-up.
Lionel Messi, Griezmann and Mbappe
5 time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi is a no-brainer in this XI. Messi is likely to deliver a moment of magic and you cannot bet against him. Griezmann and Mbappe will be the other two forwards. With the pace that these two hold, we expect them to create plenty of problems for Argentina's back-line. We have given leadership nods to Messi and Griezmann.
Pogba, Kante and Mascherano
Pogba might have had a poor season with Manchester United, but the mid-fielder is a completely different player in French colors. He will be the creator in chief for France and his partner, mid-field dynamo, N'golo Kante will be France's key player today. Kante's ability to disrupt play might be enough to stop Messi and boys. Mascherano will be the third man in mid-field.
Varane, Hernandez, Otamendi and Tagliafico
Rafael Varane will be in the heart of France's defense and will be key to stopping Argentina's explosive forward line. Lucas Hernandez, at left back, will play a key role in assisting the attack. Nicolas Otamendi has had a brilliant season with Manchester City and has continued his form at the World Cup. Nicolas Tagliafico will complete the line-up.
Hugo Lloris will be our goalkeeper
Lloris is definitely the better goalkeeper when compared to Argentina's Willy Caballero, and hence the France captain will be our custodian between the sticks for this fixture.
