Reflecting on the team's past performances, Kaur stated, "We made it to the 2020 Women's T20 World Cup final in Australia and came tantalizingly close to reaching the final in the previous edition in South Africa in 2023." She also mentioned that this will be their first time playing in UAE, adding an element of excitement to their campaign. The Indian skipper underscored that preparations for this tournament began immediately after the last edition of Women's T20 World Cup concluded.
India to compete in Group A
India, the runners-up of the 2020 Women's T20 World Cup edition, are set to compete in Group A. They will face formidable opponents including six-time champions Australia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and New Zealand.
