15-year-old teenage sensation Cori Gauff, who beat Venus Williams in the first round of Wimbledon 2019, continued her winning march. The women's singles rising kid, Gauff overcame Magdalena Rybáriková in straight sets in the second round under Court One's new roof. Gauff enters third round as the favorite
Gauff stood tall and showed maturity to overcome her Slovakian opponent 6-3, 6-3. The teenager will be up against Slovenia's Polona Hercog next. The manner in which Gauff has been handling the focus, one feels that she will be the favorite against Hercog. Gauff became the youngest player to reach the last 32 at Wimbledon since Jennifer Capriati (also 15) in 1991.
'I believe I can beat anyone across the court'
"I am still shocked I am even here. I played well on pressure points. She was serving amazing. I have not been able to relax, there is so much going on. I believe I can beat anyone across the court," said the 15-year-old.

Gauff has been the cynosure of all eyes and the focus will remain on her throughout the tournament. There is a sudden belief now that this 15-year-old can do wonders. "I wasn't expecting any of this. A lot of celebrities were messaging, posting me. I am kind of star struck. It has been hard to reset. I don't know. Surprisingly social media kind of relaxes me before the match," said Gauff.

Gauff, who made it to the main round of Wimbledon by winning three qualifying games, is yet to drop a set till now. She has been broken just once in the first two matches, besides making just 18 unforced errors. These are strong numbers for the kid. She belongs to this level and is ready to make a mark this term.
