The legend's replacement: 5 batsmen who can replace Cook
Former England captain, Alastair Cook, announced that he will bring down the curtain on his England career after the ongoing Test series against India. Cook is just 33, but his decision comes after his current run of poor form, which saw him averaging a meager 18.62 in his last nine Test matches. Here are the upcoming English batsmen who can replace the legend.

Liam Livingstone is an all-rounder with impressive record in County. He can be a part of the England squad after Cook calls it a day. Even though, he will not fit in the opening slot, he can provide solidity in the batting. In 40 First-class matches, Livingstone has scored 2,187 runs at an average of 41.26. He has also played two T20Is for England.
Will this wicket-keeper batsman rise up to the occasion?

He has an average of 41.30. He was also a member of the England Lions squad which toured Australia. In his 57 First-class matches, Clarke has scored 12 centuries and 13 half-centuries.
Hameed should be back in the squad after Cook retires
