Having played 73 matches at home, the talismanic off-spinner averaged a sensational 19.56, as per ESPNcricinfo. 45 of his 67 Test fifers have come at home as his tally also includes 15 10-wicket match hauls. Muralitharan's best figures at home read 9/51.
Rangana Herath - 26 fifers
Among left-arm bowlers, Rangana Herath is the highest wicket-taker in home Tests. The legendary spinner finished his career with 278 wickets across 49 home Tests at a fine average of 23.65. Herath returned with 26 fifers at home. On seven occasions, he claimed 10 wickets in a home Test. His best figures in Sri Lanka read 9/127.
Prabath Jayasuriya - 8 fifers
Jayasuriya finds himself on this list after playing just nine Tests at home. He has scalped 72 wickets in these matches at a fine average of 24.08. The tally includes eight fifers and a couple of 10-wicket match hauls. His best innings figures in home Tests read 7/52. So far, he has played only a couple of home games without an innings fifer.
