So it was a surprise for his fans when he abused Manish Pandey during India's 2nd T20I against South Africa at Centurion. In a now-viral video, Dhoni is heard rebuking "bhosdike" Pandey for not paying attention.

Here's what happened
It happened when Dhoni was building a partnership with Pandey during India's innings yesterday. In the last few overs, an upset Dhoni is heard screaming at Pandey, "Oye! Bhosdike (a Hindi expletive) look here. What are you looking at that side?" Later, while talking to reporters, Pandey quipped: "Dhoni is probably the best when he bats lower down the order."

"Kohli na sudhra, Dhoni bigad gaya," said @yasachdev995 "All of a sudden...Dhoni became Priya Varrier and Manish Pandey is that poor boy," commented @KasamCinemaaki. But many fans simply refused to believe Dhoni had used expletives. The word wasn't clearly audible, they protested.
