The United authorities need to focus on what their priority should be. One of Mourinho's closest associates has revealed that the club has not offered new deals to players like Mata when their contracts are nearing the end. Even David de Gea and Martial's contracts were hung in the balance for a long time. Such poor player handling might have led to poor performance.

Reports suggest Real Madrid are interested in bringing Mourinho back to the club at the end of the ongoing season. Currently, Los Blancos are being managed by Santiago Solari, but as per rumors they are keeping the door open for Mourinho. They have apparently increased their offer from £15 to £18 million per year to acquire Mourinho. Only time will tell if he accepts.
