All four 'indisciplined' Phogat sisters dropped from camp by WFI
Owing to their regular tantrums and indiscipline, the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) dropped all four Phogat sisters from the National camp for the Asian games. Along with Geeta and Babita, whose story transpired the movie 'Dangal', Ritu and Sangeeta were also dropped. They will not be seen in Jakarta Palembang Games scheduled to take place in Indonesia in August/September this year.

Here's the complete list- Ritu Phogat (50kg), Indu Choudhary (50kg), SanGeeta Phogat (57kg), Geeta Phogat (59kg), Ravita (59kg), Pooja Tomar (62kg), Manu (62kg), Nandini Salokhe (62kg), Reshma Mane (62kg), Anju (65kg), Manu Tomar (72kg), Kamini (72kg), Babita Phogat (53kg), Shravan (61kg) and Satyawart Kadian (97kg).
The rules the Phogat sisters broke
The camps are being held at Sonepat and Lucknow, simultaneously, from May 10 to 25. The selected wrestlers are required to report to the camp within three days. In case, they can't do so, they should inform their coaches and find a solution. However, the offenders went incommunicado. This reckless behavior irked WFI and it pulled the plug.
WFI President says their behavior is unacceptable
WFI President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on Wednesday said it seemed the offenders did not take the camp seriously. "This is a gross breach of discipline on their part because the federation is struggling to ensure enough sparring partners at the women's camp," he said. The Federation, earlier, was criticized for being soft on Phogat sisters despite their tantrums.
Babita Phogat blames knee injury for absenteeism
Babita Phogat said the federation hasn't sent her any show-cause notice yet. She said, "Yes, I haven't joined that camp yet as I am recovering from injuries to both my knees." She said she would send an application today. Babita added, "Geeta is in Bangalore. I thought she has joined the camp. I am also going to Bangalore for my rehab at the JSW facilities."
