WI win second T20 against Indian women's cricket team
The West Indies women's cricket team restricted the Indian side to 106, winning the second T20 in Vijayawada and the three match series 2-0. The hosts limited the visitors to 137 runs but fell short of 32 runs in the chase. Stafanie Taylor was the highest scorer for the WI team with 47 runs while Harmanpret Kaur scored 43 for India.
Indian women whitewash West Indies in ODI series
The Indian women's cricket team whitewashed West Indies in the three match ODI series at Vijayawada. Veda Krishnamurthy and spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad were instrumental in ensuring India's win in the 3rd ODI. With this series, both India and West Indies have played their last ICC Women's Championship game. West Indies finished with 22 points while India ended with 19 points.
T20 series
With the ODI series over, the West Indies women's cricket team will be up against the Indian women's cricket team in the three match T20 series in Vijayawada itself.
Stafanie Taylor wins first T20 for West Indies
Stafanie Taylor scored 90 off 51 balls to help West Indies register a win in the first T20 match against the Indian women's cricket team. Batting first, India scored 150 runs in 20 overs, with Harmanpreet Kaur scoring an unbeaten 68 off 50 balls. In reply, Taylor dominated WI's chase slamming 12 fours and three sixers to take the visitors to win.
3rd T20 to be played on 22 November
India and West Indies' women's cricket teams will play the third T20 match on 22 November 2016 in Vijayawada. While WI will look to whitewash India, the hosts will play to win the last T20.
