Warner's return will be a shot in the arm for IPL 2018 finalists SRH. He was missed last season and with Shikhar Dhawan moving to Delhi Capitals, his role becomes even more crucial. We expect Warner to go all guns blazing, this term. However, if he gets selected for the World Cup he won't be available for the entire season.
Warner warmed up for IPL with a ton last week
Warner, who was earlier seen in the Bangladesh Premier League, had to rush home for a minor elbow surgery. In his first game post the surgery, the southpaw smashed a quick-fire century in club cricket. The opener hit seven sixes and four fours in his 77-ball onslaught for Randwick-Petersham in a one-day game against Penrith. Warner looked on song and played a superb innings.
A look at Warner's feats in the IPL
Warner was superb for SRH in 2016. He amassed 848 runs that year. He followed that up with 641 runs in 2017. Overall, the star cricketer has been part of 114 IPL matches. He has managed to to notch 4,014 runs at an average of 40.54, that includes three centuries and 36 fifties.
