Warner scores a ton in his first match post ban
Former Australia opener David Warner scored a stunning century on his return to the cricket field. In his first game post the ban, ex vice-captain blazed to a quick-fire 130 against the Australia National High Performance in a T20 match. Notably, Warner has been banned from international cricket for 12 months by Cricket Australia. He was found guilty of ball tampering against South Africa.
'Mastermind' of ball tampering scandal has moved on
The southpaw was in fine touch and it looked as if the ball-tampering scandal never happened. This was Warner's first game in two months and the 31-year-old played some eye-catching shots, which left several spectators in awe of him. Post the game, he was all smiles while mingling with the opposition. It clearly shows that he has moved on from the incident.
Spectators were left in awe of Warner
"I think he hit like 18 sixes, at least half a dozen went over the grandstand. It looked like he had left the scandal behind and moved on like he didn't have a care in the world" a spectator was quoted by The Daily Mail.
Warner gears up for Global T20 tournament in Canada
Warner will be next seen in action in the Global T20 tournament in Canada, where he has signed by Winnipeg Hawks. The T20 tournament is scheduled to begin on June 28. The tournament will also mark the return of former Australian captain Steven Smith, who is a part of the Toronto Nationals. Warner and Smith will face each other on July 2.
