Indian skipper Virat Kohli is Wisden Cricketer of the Year
What's the story
Team India skipper Virat Kohli has been named Wisden 'Leading Cricketer of the Year' for 2017.
The right-handed batsman bagged the most runs in a phenomenal campaign that saw him win the award for the second successive time.
He matched Virender Sehwag's feat of winning the award in two consecutive years (2008, 2009).
Besides helping India perform superbly, Kohli's individual performance stole the show.

Earlier, the fantastic Kohli bagged the ICC 'Cricketer Of The Year Award' in January 2018.
He also clinched the 'ODI Player of the Year' and the best captain in both Tests and ODIs.
Now with this award his records have continued to bear fruits.
He had quite a special year indeed amassing 2,818 runs across all the three formats of the game.

The Indian skipper scored 1,059 runs in 10 Test matches besides amassing 1,460 runs in 26 ODIs. He also scored 299 runs in 10 T20Is. He also hammered 11 hundreds that included three double tons in Tests.
