He joins Sachin Tendulkar (463), MS Dhoni (347), Rahul Dravid (340), Mohammad Azharuddin (334), Sourav Ganguly (308), and Yuvraj Singh (301) on this list.
Rohit Sharma, India's incumbent ODI skipper, is just behind Kohli with 271 appearances in the format.

Over 14,000 runs in ODI cricket
Kohli recently became the third man to complete 14,000 runs in ODI cricket.
With 14,085 runs at an incredible average of 58.20, he is only behind Tendulkar (18,426) and Kumar Sangakkara (14,234) in terms of ODI runs.
Kohli also became the fastest to 14,000 ODI runs in terms of innings (287). Tendulkar and Sangakkara took 350 and 378 innings, respectively.

Over 5,400 ODI runs as captain
Kohli also had a successful career as India's captain. He led India to 65 wins in 95 ODIs.
The 36-year-old slammed 5,449 runs at a staggering average of 72.65 while leading India in the format.

In 2018, Kohli became the fourth Indian to touch the 10,000-run mark (ODIs). To date, he remains the fastest to this landmark (205 innings).
