Run Machine Virat Kohli has unlocked yet another achievement in international cricket. He has completed 27,000 runs across formats, a feat achieved by only four men as of now. However, Kohli is the fastest to this mark, breaking legend Sachin Tendulkar's record. The former attained this feat on Day 4 of the ongoing 2nd Test against Bangladesh at Kanpur's Green Park Stadium.

Kohli currently has the fourth-most runs in international cricket, only behind Tendulkar (34,357), Kumar Sangakkara (28,016), and Ricky Ponting (27,483). His tally includes a record 80 centuries, the second-most in international cricket after Tendulkar (100). As mentioned, Kohli has become the fastest to 27,000 international runs, a record previously held by Tendulkar (623 innings). Kohli has reached the landmark in 593 innings.

Kohli has astronimical numbers in white-ball cricket. He is set to become the third player with 14,000 ODI runs. At the moment, he is behind Tendulkar (18,426) and Sangakkara (14,234). Kohli has 13,906 runs from 295 ODIs at 58.18. He remains the only player with 50 ODI tons. Kohli, who has retired from T20Is, is one of only three players with 4,000+ runs (4,188).
