Former Indian pacer Munaf Patel retires from all formats

Former Indian pace bowler Munaf Patel has called it a day on his career that spanned over 15 years.
The ICC World Cup winner with India, Munaf was regarded as one of the most consistent bowlers during his prime.
'The Bharuch Express' is set to be a part of the upcoming T10 League in Dubai.

Debut
Munaf made his India debut in 2006
Munaf's first-class debut came for India A against New Zealand in Rajkot in the year 2003.
In the next three years, the bowler went on to play Test cricket for India.
His Test debut came against South Africa in Durban, 2006.
He then made his debut in ODI cricket a month later.
He last played for India in the year 2011.
Career
A look at Munaf's feats
The pace bowler went on to feature in just 13 Tests and 70 ODIs.
Through out his career, Munaf was plagued with injuries.
He picked 35 wickets in Tests with a best of 4/25. In ODIs, Munaf took 86 wickets.
He also played three T20Is.
The right-arm bowler was the third highest wicket taker for India in the ICC World Cup 2011.

There is no regret: Munaf Patel
According to a report in The Indian Express, Munaf stated that he took the decision after discussing the same with his close friend.
The 35-year-old stated that he retires as a happy man.
"There is no regret, after all the cricketers I played with have retired. Only Dhoni is left! Baki sab done ho chuke hai. So, there is no sadness as such."
IPL
Patel was consistent in IPL as well
The veteran cricketer played the first six seasons of the Indian Premier League, before appearing once again in 2017.
In 63 IPL matches, Munaf picked a total of 74 wickets with a best of 5/21.
Munaf won the inaugural IPL title with the Rajasthan Royals in 2008.
His best year was in 2011, when he picked 22 wickets for the Mumbai Indians.
