The Indian Premier League Governing Council (IPL GC) made the announcement on Tuesday. It is understood that Upstox, which joins the bandwagon of official partners, has been handed a multi-year partnership. Here are the further details.

Upstox pipped Groww to become the official partner

A recent report in TOI stated that Upstox pipped India-based online investment platform Groww to come on board as the IPL official partner. The reported further suggested that Upstox has entered into a three-year agreement with the BCCI (approximately Rs. 45 crore per year). Notably, Fantasy sports platform Dream11, e-education platform Unacademy, e-payment platform Cred, and Tata Motors are the other official partners.

The 14th edition of Indian Premier League is set to begin on April 9. Earlier this month, the BCCI announced the schedule, including the logistical customizations for the impending season. Notably, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata will host the matches as IPL returns to India. In a revised format, each team will play at four venues during the league stage.
