Cricket fans all over the globe will be set for a thrilling ride with plenty of action awaiting them in March 2018. With several high-profile series, fans can pick and choose what they want to watch. From Australia's tour of South Africa, the Nidahas Trophy, ICC 2019 World Cup Qualifiers, March has a lot to offer. Here is a look of what's in store.
Australia in South Africa: Test series
Australia will be looking to repeat their 2013-14 heroics in South Africa, when they defeated the Proteas 2-1 in the Test series. Steve Smith's side have four Tests lined up this month against Faf du Plessis-led South Africa starting March 1. 1st Test: March 1-5, 2nd Test: March 9-13, 3rd Test: March 22-26, 4th Test: March 30 to April 3.
Nidahas Trophy 2018
Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and India will be gearing up for the Nidahas Trophy tri-nation T20I series starting March 6 at Colombo. The tournament is being held to mark Sri Lanka's 70 years of independence. The final of the tournament will be played on March 18 with the top two teams qualifying via the points system.
England tour of New Zealand
England and New Zealand will be engrossing in three ODIs this month with the ongoing series tied at 1-1. The ODIs will be played on March 3, 7 and 10 respectively. The duo will also play two Tests; March 22-26 and March 30-April 3.
ICC World Cup Qualifiers
The ICC World Cup Qualifiers for the 2019 mega event will be held from March 4-25 in Zimbabwe. The likes of UAE, Scotland, Zimbabwe, Netherlands, Ireland, Nepal, Papa New Guinea, Afghanistan, Hong Kong and the West Indies are participating in the qualifying tourney. With West Indies battling for qualification, it is expected to draw viewers. Afghanistan and Ireland look threatening.
West Indies tour of Pakistan
West Indies will be touring Pakistan after the conclusion of their ICC 2019 WC Qualifiers. Two T20Is of the 3-match series will be held in Lahore. Key dates - March 29 and March 31.
