The most goals scored by a goalkeeper
A goalkeeper's job is to ensure that the ball does not go past him. However, there have been numerous instances when even keepers become active on-field and add their names on the scoring sheet. While it is a rare occurrence but Rogério Ceni of Brazil had a special love for scoring. He holds the record for the most goals scored by a keeper (129).
Most goals by a player
Scoring goals is the only way to win a match. The more the goals, the better for the team as well as the player. As for the most number of goals scored in one's career, Brazil's Pele holds the record with 1,281 official goals. However, unofficially, it is believed that Josef Bican scored a total of 1,468 goals. Official or unofficial, both are unbreakable.
One of the most watched matches
Fans flocking to a stadium to catch the glimpse of a football match is a great feeling. It was during the 1950 FIFA World Cup final, when Brazil were playing Uruguay that massive crowd attended it live. As per the official estimates, a total of 1,73,850 fans watched it at the Maracana Stadium. However, it's debatable again, as the unofficial figure states about 1,99,854.
Most goals scored in a match
The more goals a team scores, the better are the chances of winning. On the same note, the record of most goals scored in a match, or the biggest scoreline, to date stands 149-0. It came under bizarre circumstances as Stade Olymique L'Emyrne protested against biased referring and plundered 149 own goals against AS Adema FC. Needless to say, this would never be broken.
Most matches played by a footballer
Playing the game for a long time is an honor, as long as one performs. There have been a number of players who played a lot of games. However, the official record holder of the most matches played is with former English goalkeeper Peter Shilton, who played 1,390 career matches. While there are players who can come close, but this can never be broken.
