Pakistan's Umar Akmal equals unwanted record in T20Is
Pakistan's Umar Akmal hasn't had the best of returns since making a comeback to the T20I side. The 29-year-old. who last featured in a T20I back in 2016, was dismissed for two successive golden ducks against Sri Lanka. Pakistan have lost the T20I series 2-0 with one more match to play. This has led to fans trolling Akmal. Here's more.
Akmal manages two successive golden ducks on return
Akmal managed a golden duck in the first T20I after coming to bat at number three. He was trapped LWB by Nuwan Pradeep. Pakistan lost the match after failing to chase down a target of 166. And then on Monday, Akmal was once again out LBW off the first ball he faced. This time it was Wanindu Hasaranga, who dismissed him.

Akmal now has 10 career T20I ducks in 84 matches. He jointly holds the record alongside former Sri Lankan ace Tillakaratne Dilshan who had same number of ducks in 80 matches. Third in the list comes Luke Wright of England who scored nine ducks.
Pakistan fans are miffed with Akmal for dreadful show
With Pakistan surrendering the T20I series, the fans are right to be miffed with the side. Akmal has faced the most brunt after his twin failures. The fans took to social media site Twitter and trolled the player. Many fans are also angry at coach Misbah-ul-Haq for experimenting with the side and recalling the likes of Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad.

How did the second T20I pan out?
Lanka scored 182/6 after Bhanuka Rajapaksa amassed a terrific 48-ball 77. Skipper Dasun Shanaka scored a breezy unbeaten 27. Imad Wasim (1/27) was pick of the Pakistan bowlers. In reply, Pakistan needed a strong start but that never materialized. Imad Wasim scored 47 to be the lone bright spark. Nuwan Pradeep was superb with a spell of 4/25.
