More trouble for UFC fighter Conor McGregor
Ultimate Fighting Championship player Conor McGregor has landed in trouble after he instigated a backstage ruckus post a press conference for UFC 223. The incident occurred in Brooklyn, USA at the UFC 223 Barclays Centre. McGregor's antics forced the removal of three fights of the Championship's biggest card of the year. He is in police custody after turning himself in.
McGregor charged with assault after attacking bus
The 29-year-old Irish fighter was seen smashing the side window of a bus that contained rival fighters. Reports claim that he also tried to throw a metal guardrail at the departing bus in which fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov was travelling. He has been charged with assault as per reports. This comes as a big blow to UFC as 3 fights have been scrapped.
UFC President lashes out at McGregor for shameful incident
UFC President Dana White hit out at the fighter and claimed that his action is the most disgusting thing that has happened in the history of the company. He also added that McGregor will lose fans after the incident and believes that the police will handle him. McGregor's reputation has hit a new low after he was stripped of his UFC lightweight-title this week.
McGregor's issues with UFC President
McGregor won the lightweight belt in 2016, but failed to defend it since then. UFC's decision to strip him of the title made McGregor angry as he took to Twitter to lash out at the company. The UFC had said Conor will return this year.
McGregor's UFC future in doubt
The Irishman made his presence felt at Brooklyn after the saga against UFC. His anticipated return later this year is surely a doubtful scenario now. Fighters Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg suffered injuries after the bus attack by McGregor. The company won't let him escape.
