Advantage Real Madrid, as Ronaldo strikes twice against Bayern Munich
In the first away leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal, Real Madrid came back from a goal down to sink the 10-man Bayern Munich 2-1. Bayern were up a goal at half-time, courtesy Arturo Vidal's thunderous header. Cristiano Ronaldo equalized for Real early in the second half and went on to score the winner after Bayern lost Javi Martinez to a red card.

With his latest double at the Allianz arena, Cristiano Ronaldo scored 100 goals in UEFA club competitions (97 in Champions League, 1 in qualifiers, 2 in European Super Cup), making him the first player to achieve the feat. He is closely followed by Messi (97).
Griezmann goal gives Atletico Madrid a slender lead over Leicester
Atletico Madrid had a narrow 1-0 victory at the Vicente Calderon over visitors Leicester City, owing to a controversial first-half penalty converted by Antoine Griezmann. All is not lost for the premier league champions as they can still hope to continue their dream run at the Champions League when they meet the Spanish side at their home for the return leg on 18 April.
Dortmund lose to Monaco in the rescheduled match
Borussia Dortmund, reeling from the explosion near their team bus the previous day, were beaten 3-2 by Monaco City in the quarter-final first leg. Monaco took a 2-goal lead in first half. Dortmund followed up with goal from Dembele only to concede a third, a second for Monaco's Kylian Mbappe in the match. Dortmund's second goal from Shinji Kagawa managed to reduce the deficit.
Dortmund coach Tuchel hits out at UEFA over match rescheduling
After the team's match against Monaco, Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel slammed UEFA over the rescheduling of the match, less than 24 hrs after explosion that hit the team bus. He said that they felt "completely ignored". "We were never asked. We were informed by a text message that UEFA made a decision... It felt lousy. And that sticks with us," Tuchel added.
UEFA's reaction to Tuchel's remarks
UEFA responded to Tuchel's comments saying, "The decision to play at 18:45 was made in complete agreement with clubs and authorities. We were in touch with all parties and never received any information which suggested that any of the teams did not want to play."
