WrestleMania 35: Twists that could happen during Women's championship match
The stage is set for WWE's WrestleMania 35 this Sunday. It will see women heading the main event for the first time. Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey, SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair and number one contender Becky Lynch are set to fight it out for the unified Women's Championship in a triple-threat match. Let us analyze the twists that could happen during the event.
Asuka gets added, from Triple-Threat to Fatal-4-Way?
Asuka is the former SmackDown Women's Champion, whom Charlotte beat two weeks back to win the Championship. Although there isn't any rematch clause, Asuka might get added into the picture, just to let the WWE Universe know that justice is being done to her. And, if it does happen, the match would become a Fatal-4-Way, stacking the odds against Ronda even more.
Dana Brooke costs Ronda
Let's also not forget that Ronda was involved in a championship match against Dana Brooke a few weeks back on Raw. Although Ronda won the match easily, she continued her brutal assault on her following the match. Therefore, repercussions are likely for Ronda. Further, it is highly likely that Dana would not let it go and could interfere at WrestleMania, costing Ronda her title.
Nowhere to escape
Since it would be the main event, WWE would make sure that unexpected action happens in the ring, along with decisive result. As the intensity of the match is high, it is likely that things could get out of hand. Therefore, the best way to make sure of this is to surround the ring with other female superstars and make this a lumberjack match.
The Horsewomen collide, finally!
The best and the most likely scenario is Ronda could bring some backup in the form of her former UFC partners from NXT, Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir. Since odds are stacked against Ronda's favor, the interruption is likely. But, Becky and Charlotte are likely to be joined by Women's Tag-Team champions Bayley and Banks, who would even things out.
