Former South African cricketer, Lonwabo Tsotsobe turns DJ
South African left-arm speedster, Lonwabo Tsotsobe is currently serving an 8-year ban from cricket after he was found guilty of match-fixing. With the ban being 'career-ending', Tsotsobe has turned to his hobby for comfort. The 33-year-old is now seen in a new avatar. Meet DJ Tso, the newest DJ in town. He had represented South Africa in 5 Test matches and 61 ODIs.

"People are shocked when they see me DJing at local pubs. They think I am down and out but I am not," the banned cricket told Drum Magazine in South Africa.
Tsotsobe was banned in 2017 for match fixing
In April 2017, Tsotsobe was charged with contriving to fix matches in South Africa's domestic Ram Slam T20 Tournament and agreeing/seeking to accept a bribe for the same. The speedster admitted to one charge to fix a match and nine other charges of failing to co-operate properly with various investigations. He was handed an eight year ban from cricket.
Charged guilty for 2015 Ram Slam fixing scandal
Tsotsobe was not the only one named guilty in the scandal. Gulam Bodi, Jean Symes, Pumi Matshikwe, Ethy Mbhalati, Thami Tsolekile and Alviro Petersen were also charged by the court. They were handed bans for periods between 2 to 20 years for their involvement.
Tsotsobe finds solace in music
Being banned from playing a sport you love is never easy and Tsotsobe admitted that he went into a dark space and fell in depression. However, his family and music helped him and he is now travelling all over the country as DJ Tso. Tsotsobe is looking forward to the future and not even an 8-year ban will get him down.
