IPL 2024: Travis Head slams fastest century by SRH batter
Travis Head has brought up his maiden century in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Sunrisers Hyderabad opener breached the three-figure mark in Match 30 of the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Head recorded the fastest hundred by a SRH batter as he reached the milestone off just 39 balls. Here we present his stats.
A stunning knock from Head
Head was at his aggressive best as he attacked the bowlers straightaway. His opening partner Abhishek Sharma (34) complemented the Australian well as SRH were 76/0 at the end of the powerplay. Overall, the duo added 108 runs. Head continued to bat aggressively and brought up his ton. He eventually fell to Lockie Ferguson, having scored a 41-ball 102 (9 fours, 8 sixes).
Fourth-quickest IPL ton
Head, who completed his ton off 39 balls, displaced his compatriot David Warner as SRH's fastest centurion. The latter reached the milestone off 43 balls against KKR in 2017. Meanwhile, Head overall slammed the fourth-quickest IPL ton. He is only behind Chris Gayle (30 balls), Yusuf Pathan (37 balls), and David Miller (38 balls).
