Champions Trophy: Travis Head gets to this ODI milestone

Travis Head scripted a major milestone in Australia's first match against England in the ongoing 2025 ICC Champions Trophy at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
With his fifth run in the contest, the southpaw completed 1,000 ODI runs in Asia.
Head, who is among the best all-format batters going around, has been stellar in the Asian continent.
However, he was dismissed for 6(5) in Australia's run-chase of 352.

Head owns three tons in Asia
With this knock, Head has raced past 1,000 runs from 27 games in Asia, averaging 41-plus. He has three centuries and four fifties in this regard.
As per ESPNcricinfo, 537 of his runs in the continent have come in India at 41.30.
Meanwhile, he has gone past 195 runs across four outings in Pakistan (100: 1, 50: 1).

Coming to his overall numbers, Head has raced past 2,665 runs from 71 ODIs at 43-plus. In addition to six tons, he has slammed 16 fifties.
In 19 games against England, Head has scored 900 runs at an average of 56.25. This includes two tons and six fifties.
Meanwhile, he scored an unbeaten 71* in his only previous outing in the Champions Trophy, against England in 2017.
