Tottenham sign striker Dominic Solanke for £65m: Decoding his stats
Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of striker Dominic Solanke from fellow Premier League club Bournemouth. Spurs will pay an initial £55m with £10m in add-ons for the 26-year-old. Solanke had a release clause of about £65m which was confirmed by Bournemouth owner Bill Foley in an interview with BBC Sport last month. The 26-year-old striker has agreed a deal until 2030. With Solanke joining Spurs, his former club Liverpool are set to pocket £10m thanks to a sell-on clause. Solanke had a superb 2023-24 campaign for the Cherries. He had joined the club from Liverpool in the summer of 2018. Notably, this is a record sale for Bournemouth - exceeding the £40m they received from Manchester City for defender Nathan Ake in 2020.

Solanke started his career with boyhood club Chelsea. He managed one appearance for the club and was sent to Vitesse on loan in 2015-16 where he scored seven times in 26 appearances.
