Interestingly, Asensio is keen to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu. However, in return, he wants an assurance from new manager Julen about his playing time. Asensio scored 6 goals in La Liga, last season, for Los Blancos.
Juventus put €80 mn price tag on Pjanic
Serie A champions Juventus are demanding €80 million for mid-field ace Miralem Pjanic. This was first reported by Tuttosport. Barcelona are keen on signing Pjanic to replace their legend Andres Iniesta. However, Juventus do not want to sell the Bosnian mid-fielder. He is also a target of Barcelona's rivals Real Madrid.
Sarri wants Mertens at Chelsea
As per a report in Daily Mirror, former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri wants Dries Mertens as his first signing, if he is appointed as Chelsea's next manager. Sarri is close to signing a deal with Chelsea after his agent was spotted in London. 31-year-old Mertens scored 22 goals to help Napoli finish on the second spot behind Juventus in the Serie A.
Leno completes €22 mn Arsenal move
Bayer Leverkusen custodian Bernd Leno has completed a €22 million move to Arsenal. The 26-year-old will replace Cech as the Gunners number one next season. Leno, who has been capped 6 times by Germany, failed to make the World Cup squad this summer. With Leno in, Cech could be on the move to ensure regular playing time.
